Description: Forward Manufacturing Engineer Sr - 2nd Shift

What You Will Be Doing

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Engineer to join the Forward team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role at every stage of a platform’s lifecycle, from developing manufacturing plans to supporting full-rate production and post-delivery sustainment and modification activities. You will be integral in ensuring efficient and effective aircraft production.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and execute detailed manufacturing plans, concepts, processes, and procedures to support efficient and effective aircraft production.

- Work closely with shop floor personnel, design engineering, quality engineering, industrial engineering, and other disciplines to ensure seamless production operations.

- Provide hands-on support for all stages of the program lifecycle, from initial development to full-rate production, sustainment, and post-delivery modifications.

- Identify and implement process enhancements to optimize manufacturing efficiency, quality, and productivity.

- Apply engineering expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing challenges, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project timelines.

- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of manufacturing plans, corrective actions, and process improvements.

- Promote a continuous improvement mindset by staying current with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies, and by sharing knowledge with team members.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

Experience with analyzing and resolving technical/process issues varying from basic to complex

Experience with interpreting structural and systems engineering drawings

Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling

Experience working corrective action and process improvements

Desired Skills:

5+ years previous manufacturing/operations experience

Strong project/time management skills

Self-motivated, performs work with general

direction

Ability to effectively communicate technical information

to non-technical personnel

Background and working knowledge of tool design and

tooling issues

Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

Ability to independently determine and develop

approach to solutions

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
