Lockheed Martin F-35 Aircraft Modification Lead (Level 5) in Greenville, South Carolina

Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics team to perform as the F-35 Aircraft Modification Lead located at Royal Air Force (RAF) Marham, United Kingdom. This role organizationally aligns with the Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul and Upgrades (MRO&U) Operations Team for F-35 Global Sustainment (GS) and will be a direct report day-to-day to the F-35 Air Vehicle Depot Senior Manager in MRO&U Operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Act as the primary technical liaison for all post-delivery Time Compliance Technical Directive (TCTD) modifications at Marham Maintenance and Final Finishes (M&FF).

• Guide the successful implementation of F-35 modification efforts and act as project lead for applicable modification packages. Rally and align all support requirements; engineering, parts/kits, touch labor and tools with the team.

• Review and evaluate completion of modification efforts and provides feedback to the team for continuous improvement.

• Ensure compliance with Customer, Company, and Program procedures relative to the Aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Modifications.

• Provide contractor site leadership complete sight picture for F-35 Post Delivery Modification development, support planning, integration, and implementation.

• Must be proactive and always utilize sound judgment; diplomatic with the ability to establish and preserve a creditable relationship with all personnel.

• Must be willing to work extended shifts including holidays and weekends.

• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must have an active Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

• Experience with fighter aircraft maintenance, operations and modifications.

• Aircraft depot maintenance or management experience.

• Must have experience manning, leading, and supporting all aspects of unit and depot level aircraft modifications including Contractor Field Team (CFT) support.

• Extensive background in Time Compliance Technical Directive (TCTD) implementation.

• Proven experience in coordinating mod/retrofit actions with diverse team of contractors and end users.

• Candidate must be proficient with researching and interpreting modification engineering drawings and manufacturing/material process specifications.

• Proficient using Microsoft Office products (i.e., Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, and Project) Suite.

Desired Skills:

The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates:

• Project management experience with strong organizational and communication skills.

• Experience working with and consulting Navy/Air Force service representatives

• Experience with JSF sustainment tools; Product Data Manager (PDM), JSF Data Library (JDL), Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).

• Knowledge and experience with program change/configuration management and associated change boards for processing change requests with retrofit implications.

• Military service at multiple levels of maintenance, logistics, and support of fighter aircraft.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
