Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the Management of Change (MOC) program and assume the role and responsibilities of site MOC manager. The site MOC manager will review and approve all manufacturing MOC projects from an EHS perspective, with the assistance of other EHS team members as necessary. Collaborate with project managers from project inception to installation and production readiness.

  • Review Acquisition Requests (ARs) for EHS implications and conduct EHS approval.

  • Deliver EHS Training (classroom and practical based training) to manufacturing employees to meet regulatory and GE Vernova training requirements. Training topics include but are not limited to EHS Overview for Manufacturing Employees, Confined Space, Powered Industrial Trucks, Respiratory and Occupational Noise Awareness trainings, etc.

  • Deliver EHS training to new employees onboarding process.

  • Participate in EHS incident investigations related to contractor events.

  • Participate in EHS improvement projects and EHS Framework implementation.

  • Collaborate with other site EHS team members responsible for specific EHS disciplines (ex: Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, Air, Waste, Water, etc.)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Environment, Health and/or Safety, Engineering, or other related fields and 3 years of EHS experience in a Manufacturing environment OR or a high school diploma / GED and 7 years of EHS experience in a Manufacturing environment.

  • Minimum of 3 years of EHS experience in a Manufacturing environment

  • Experience interpreting OSHA and EPA/ SC DHEC regulations and implementing actions to meet regulatory requirements.

Desired Characteristics

  • Masters of Occupational Health and Safety or Masters of Engineering degree

  • Manufacturing EHS experience

  • Experience with Lean in manufacturing environments

  • Previous experience with Management of Change

  • Previous experience delivering EHS training

  • OSHA 30 certification

  • Professional certification such as ASP or CSP

  • Practical experience in EHS risk elimination and project management

  • Experience with GE EHS management systems

  • Proficient with Microsoft office tools

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • High attention to detail and organization

  • Established project management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence and motivate others

For purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $99,200 - $165,300 USD Annual.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This Lead Professional Band position is also eligible for a variable incentive bonus of 10% .

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
