Lockheed Martin Egress Technician Team Lead, F-16 Team- 2nd Shift in Greenville, South Carolina

Description:

You will be the Egress Technician Team Lead, F-16 Team for the Lockheed Martin Greenville Production and Sustainment Team. Our team is responsible for all Egress System/AFE maintenance on site.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Egress Technician Team Lead, F-16 Team you will be responsible for providing status of work documents, establishing/de-conflicting priorities for work accomplished for production and sustainment Egress systems. You will perform on and off equipment maintenance on F-16 egress systems, provide technical guidance for the assembly of the ejection seats, canopies, rails, and other egress system components as well as, Aircrew Flight Equipment encompassing the Forward Section of F-16 Production and sustainment activities. The Lead technician will status, communicate and support production goals and objectives of the day/week, follow work assignments, and meet nominal expectations on task performance. Follow/Instill product disciplines to align with Production/Sustainment imperatives of Safety, Quality Schedule & Cost which include but not limited too; fall protection, critical moves and crane lifts, use & disposal of hazardous or explosive materials, adherence, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), material handling and storage of staged and work-in-process (WIP) parts, chemical control and labeling.

The candidate will be required to:

• Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

• Use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.

• Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft.

• Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.

• Properly use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials, and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures

*Candidate must be able to obtain a Security clearance*

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This position is in Greenville, SC Discover Greenville.

Basic Qualifications:

Candidate must have been previously awarded an Air Force, Marine, or Navy 7-level discipline skill level rating or possess equivalent civilian experience with associated training credentials such as formal military training certificates or manufacturer training credentials IAW DCMA 8210.1c

Candidate must have 8 years’ experience relative to aircraft Manufacturing, Maintenance, Modification, Repair, & Overhaul on Fighter Aircraft Egress systems.

Must have 2 years experience in F-16/ACES II seat build-up, rail build-up in aircraft production.

2 years experience in Shop Floor Manager/Solumina.

Desired Skills:

Previous Quality Inspector experience, Previous Training Instructor experience.

Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills

Ability to problem solve.

Leadership experience, ability to lead a team to meet critical schedules and resolve technical issues.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications with ability to apply their intent.

Ability to understand aircraft work instructions.

Champion of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) control measures

Able to establish priorities between production and sustainment workloads.

Willingness to assign work orders/tasks to technicians to meet scheduled requirements.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
