ThermoFisher Scientific Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (12-Hour Night in Greenville, North Carolina

Work Schedule

12 hr shift/nights

Environmental Conditions

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Cold Room/Freezers -22degrees, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

What will you do?

  • Perform flawless maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine root causes of issues and successfully implement solutions.

  • Compete assigned projects on time and within budget, ensuring optimum performance of equipment.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure uninterrupted operations.

  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree with four (4) years of related experience or High School Diploma with six (6) years of related experience.

  • Experience in Sterile Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or Medical Device Industry preferred.

  • Proven experience with Sterile Production Systems, HVAC/HEPA Systems, Clean Utility Systems, Black Utility Systems, Electrical Distribution Systems (AC and DC, 24v to 480v), Motors, VF Drives and Servo Controlled System preferred.

  • Ability to analyze problematic equipment and electromechanical component failures without schematics. Proficiency in the use of highly technical diagnostic and test equipment, reading blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technician papers.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, task prioritization and interpersonal proficiency.
