Job Description

Coolant Transfer Engineer for Thermal Component’s HW - As a Coolant Transfer Design Engineer for Thermal Hardware, you will be providing professional expertise in Mechanical design for coolant transfer lines (including routing and bracketry), collaborating with other designers in development, and implementation of thermal management solutions. In this position, the engineer's responsibility is to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve high-quality delivery of products. To ensure thermal system balance and efficiency, coolant transfer systems are essential for heat exchangers and any other component requiring coolant/energy exchange.

Responsibilities:

• Full design ownership of coolant transfer system from cradle to grave

• Lead continuous improvement activities (process, tools, methods) and fostering innovation for Quality, Mass, and Cost initiatives.

• Coordinate activities and requirements amongst Design groups and Application center, to develop a balanced coolant distribution routing to meet functional thermal management system.

• Delivering project activities and milestones on time and according to budget

• Problem solve and determine best methods to validate designs.

• Document best practices and create know-how initiatives.

• Ability to manage tasks using analytical and critical thinking skills.

Hard Skills

• BSME or engineering degree

• 2+ years of CREO or another 3D package such as NX, Catia or Solid Works with specific hose design, cooling system design experience

• 2+ years of experience with design of coolant/cooling systems including hoses, pipes, piping, routing and packaging, and bracket design

• Automotive/Truck/Heavy equipment

• Design & release experience

• Transmission oil line or engine oil line experience

• New product development experience

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Work Environment

Will work in the Technical Center located in Greensboro, NC. Will work in an open work environment with no assigned desks.
