The primary responsibility of the Manager, Facilities oversees the daily operation of the Greensboro Facility, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain maintenance programs to ensure the facility’s infrastructure and production equipment are in optimal condition.

• Coordinate with production team and manufacturing engineering team to support manufacturing activities and ensure minimal downtime.

• Manage relationships with external service providers and contractors for facility-related services like cleaning, security, and maintenance.

• Manage the facility management budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high standards.

• Oversee facility-related projects, including renovations, expansions, and new installations, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

• Ensure the facility is secure, with appropriate measures in place to protect assets and personnel.

• Lead the facility management team, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills.

Background and Skill

• Bachelor’s degree in Facility management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in facilities management, preferably in a large manufacturing environment.

• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.

• Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and security systems.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts effectively.

• Proficient with facility management software and Microsoft Office Applications.

• Familiar with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.

• Experience working in a unionized environment preferred.

• FMP certification a plus

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
