What you will do

As the Group Manager - Project Management Office, Electrical Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our success by overseeing all engineering related activities, managing project timelines, and coordinating with cross-functional teams and the other communities as it relates to our products. This position will be part of Electrical Engineering & Vehicle Connectivity (EEVC) management team; therefore, the PMO leader needs executive presence, ability to think strategically, and manage complexities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Electrical Engineering project team and work with all other engineering departments and cross-functional stakeholders such as purchasing, production, sales and marketing.

  • Develop and lead our project deliveries for North America

  • Develop and lead our quality work, both reactive and proactive

  • Provide leadership and guidance to project managers, quality engineers and engineers

  • Provide input to project budget and aligning financial targets. Coordinate teams to ensure project milestones are met and within budget

  • Secure that the project requirements are transferred to engineering teams

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including purchasing, manufacturing, sales/marketing, and finance teams, to ensure seamless project execution

  • Maintain strong relationships with local and global stakeholders

  • Identify potential risks related to our development plans and develop mitigation strategies

  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, including progress, challenges, and solutions

  • Contribute to strategic decision-making as a member of the EEVC leadership team

  • Represent EEVC in the selected governance bodies at the executive level

This role reports to the Chief Engineer Electrical Engineer & Vehicle Connectivity in North America.

Your future team

Our Team, Electrical Engineering & Vehicle Connectivity (EEVC), develops solutions for diesel, electrical and autonomous heavy-duty vehicles. We are responsible for vehicle and driver electronics, electrical architecture, electrical hardware, components and wiring. We perform testing and verification for components, systems and complete vehicle.

Our leaders are people focused, value driven, and manage a wide range of development activities. This leadership role requires strong technical experience, networking and communication and will represent Electrical Engineering and Vehicle Connectivity in a variety of local and global initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.

  • 8+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on electrical engineering within the manufacturing industry.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to travel to various locations, both domestically and internationally (up to 15%)

Preferred

  • Advanced degree or PMP certification

  • Experience in the automotive or heavy-duty truck sector
