What you will do

The purpose of this position is to provide engineering support for Features, Verification, and Validation (FVV) of new product development within Complete Vehicle (CV). The measurement engineer will perform activities related to configuration and troubleshooting of data acquisition systems in the Greensboro facility. The position will be interfacing with internal customers to ensure testing requirements and workload is supported as needed. The candidate will possess in depth knowledge of data acquisition systems, sensors and related applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure DAQ systems including sensors and remote data transfer to support internal customer requests

  • Support establishing investment requests and development of roadmap related to data acquisition systems

  • Implementation and commissioning of new equipment in collaboration with equipment vendors

  • Responsible for planning, organizing and implementation of projects

  • Collaborate with global counterparts to implement and adapt test procedures according to local requirements

  • Educate engineers and technicians to efficiently operate data acquisitions systems according to industry best practice

  • Updating test method documentation and instructions according to internal procedures

  • Develop and improve test procedures related to DAQ systems including report automation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. 

  • 3-5 years working experience with Analog Inputs such as voltage measurement, pressure, frequency, acceleration and temperature.

  • Solid understanding of vehicle bus systems and their protocols (CAN, XCP, Ethernet, LIN)

  • In depth knowledge and experience with metrology fundamentals.

  • Scripting knowledge in Matlab, Python, C#, C++ or similar.

  • Experience in validation.

  • Strong Microsoft Office and general computer skills.

Preferred

  • Master's Degree in Engineering

  • Previous experience with Dewesoft or Ipetronik.

  • Working experience with CANoe, CANalyzer and/or Kvaser Memorator.

  • Prior experience in the automotive industry.
