Our client is looking to hire a Fixed Asset Accountant for a 12 month possible Temp to Hire opportunity. The Fixed Asset Accountant is responsible for fixed asset management which includes providing responses for fixed assets, working to add new fixed assets, account reconciliation, working w/ PM's to set up fixed assets and understand their project construction progress. Position is 100% Remote but must be able to work CST or EST time zones. Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance or related field

• MBA in a financial discipline is a plus

• Must have 5 plus years of related fixed asset and accounting experience

• Intermediate to Advanced MS Office including MS Excel

• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.

• Advanced ability to work independently and manage ones time.

salary: $41 - $46 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• The main function of an accountant is to provide responses for fixed assets, working to add new fixed assets, account reconciliation, working w/ PM's to set up fixed assets and understand their project construction progress

• A typical accountant is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.

• Review accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports created by staff to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

• Review and approve budgets and periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs. Create recordkeeping and accounting systems.

• Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel and direct their work activities.

• Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend and/or develop solutions to business and financial problems.

• Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.

• Prepare, analyze, and verify annual reports, financial statements, and other records, using accepted accounting and statistical procedures to assess financial condition and facilitate financial planning.
