About our team:

Product Engineering is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team responsible for maintaining the design integrity of products throughout their lifecycle—from production to post-production. We provide technical expertise to swiftly resolve production challenges in a just-in-time environment where downtime can have significant impacts. Additionally, we focus on minimizing total cost of ownership by addressing in-warranty and out-of-warranty issues efficiently. Between model redesigns, our team drives feature enhancements that continuously add value to our products.

About the position: We’re seeking an Electrical Product Engineer to support various product lines and design configurations. In this role, you will:

  • Diagnose product issues, determine root causes, and implement design modifications.
  • Address challenges related to harnessing, motors, controllers, printed circuit board designs, sensors, and encoders.
  • Recommend project adjustments based on evolving business needs.
  • Provide technical support for new product development, manufacturing engineering, and field service teams.
  • Lead or contribute to small projects or major vehicle sub-systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and potentially lead interdepartmental initiatives.
  • Keep management informed of project progress, priorities, and cost/schedule updates.
  • Present project status and key findings to senior leadership as needed.
  • Develop and refine electrical systems and components to improve product performance.
  • Train and operate forklifts to support product engineering activities.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute technical activities while effectively communicating.
  • Experience using hand tools and test equipment, including:

  • Multimeters, vector network analyzers, copper certification testers, retention testers, and basic hand tools.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering, technical, and maintenance specifications, policies, and standards to ensure quality and safety.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

It would be great if you had

  • Professional electrical engineering experience in a product development or manufacturing environment.
  • Schematic capture/layout experience (Altium, Cadence Allegro, etc.).
  • Familiarity with electrical communication protocols (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, CAN).

About the total compensation package:

Salary - $75,000 - $96,600 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.

Relocation – This position may qualify for relocation.
