Amazon Vendor Product Manager, Re:Cycle Reverse Logistics in Greencastle, Pennsylvania

Description

The re:Cycle Reverse Logistics Operations team offers worldwide cloud computing providers with a centralized means to sort, function test, in-warranty return, and disposition server and networking assets that break or are no longer needed in the fleet. The team is seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and self-driven Vendor Product Manager to support its global operations by developing short and long-term software solutions that manage inventory, reinforce operational workflows, drive complex business logic throughout the process, and exchange information between systems. This role will be responsible for satisfying security, operational, and business requirements by working between RRL internal and 3rd party teams to drive strategic developments and continuous improvement in the Reverse Logistics warehouse management system. This scope will enable new software solutions for 700+ global users (and growing).

Requirements include:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% both domestically and internationally

  • Occasional walking in the building and surrounding area; facilities are over a quarter mile in length

  • Standing and walking for up to 8 – 10 hours a day

Key job responsibilities

  • Coordinating with internal technical and business teams (e.g. Security, Software Development, Operations) to define system development/improvement requirements, technical solutions, and implementation success criteria.

  • Preparing technical documents (e.g. wireframes, threat models, schemas) to promote ideas and design concepts through approvals (e.g. AppSec, PhySec).

  • Working with internal and 3rd party teams to refine and test new system features, to coordinate implementation, and to validate changes in production.

  • Maintaining program and product documentation and configurations to maximize inventory security and business benefits.

  • Coordinating reoccurring meetings with key stakeholders to track status updates, to identify risks/barriers, and to drive deliverables, ensuring consistent alignment across all organizations.

  • Managing ticket queue, prioritization, and tradeoffs for strategic system developments.

  • Planning for 3rd party software costs, tracking spend against budget.

  • Governance over Change Management process.

A day in the life

Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to understand business needs, preparing technical documentation to define new system requirements, managing stakeholder expectations and dependencies, driving program-revolutionary developments from idea to implementation, and maintaining program/product documentation and configurations are all in a day’s work for the reverse logistics Vendor Product Manager.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program, project, or product management experience in a warehousing, manufacturing, data center, or reverse logistics environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related, or 4+ additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree

  • 3+ years of experience using warehouse management and/or inventory control systems

  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven track record for improving metrics and performance to SLA

  • Experience managing a 3rd party vendor

  • Experience using programming languages (Java, HTML, etc.)

  • Experience in AWS platforms, (S3, RedShift, etc.)
