Amazon Senior Product Manager, Re:Cycle Reverse Logistics in Greencastle, Pennsylvania

The re:Cycle Reverse Logistics Operations team offers worldwide cloud computing providers with a centralized means to sort, function test, in-warranty return, and disposition server and networking assets that break or are no longer needed in the fleet. The team is seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and self-driven Product Manager to support its global operations by developing and integrating short and long-term software solutions that manage inventory, enable cross-organizational workflows, drive complex business logic throughout the process, and securely exchange information between systems. This role will be responsible for satisfying security, operational, and business requirements by working between RRL internal and 3rd party teams to drive strategic developments and continuous improvement between the RRL warehouse management system and upstream/downstream supporting systems, equipment, and processes. This scope will enable new software solutions and processes for 700+ global users (and growing).

Requirements include:

• Ability to travel up to 25% both domestically and internationally

• Occasional walking in the building and surrounding area; facilities are over a quarter mile in length

• Standing and walking for up to 8 – 10 hours a day

Key job responsibilities

• Coordinating with internal technical and business teams (e.g. Security, Software Development, Operations) to define workflow and system enhancement/integration requirements, technical solutions, and implementation success criteria for complex, cross-organizational deliverables.

• Preparing technical documents (e.g. flow diagrams, threat models, schemas) to promote ideas and design concepts through approvals (e.g. AppSec, PhySec).

• Working with internal and 3rd party teams to refine and test new system features, to triage, analyze, and repair integration failures, to coordinate implementation, to validate changes in production, and to refine across products/platforms.

• Maintaining program and product documentation and configurations.

• Coordinating reoccurring meetings with key stakeholders to track status updates, to identify risks/barriers, and to drive deliverables, ensuring consistent alignment across all organizations from ideation to pilot to hypercare.

• Managing ticket queue, prioritization, tradeoffs, change management, and annual planning for cross-organizational workflow and system developments/integrations with stakeholders and leadership.

• Deep diving new equipment and software integration opportunities to identify and drive new services and automations in RRL’s warehouse management system and beyond.

A day in the life

Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to understand business needs, preparing technical documentation to define new process and system requirements, managing stakeholder expectations and dependencies, driving program-revolutionary developments from idea to implementation, and maintaining program/product documentation and configurations are all in a day’s work for the reverse logistics Product Manager.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of program, project, or product management experience in a warehousing, manufacturing, data center, or reverse logistics environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related, or 6+ additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree

  • 4+ years of experience using warehouse management and/or inventory control systems

  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven track record for improving metrics and performance to SLA

  • Experience managing a 3rd party vendor

  • Experience using programming languages (Java, HTML, etc.)

  • Experience in AWS platforms, (S3, RedShift, etc.)
