JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21153 WORKING TITLE: Assistant Coach - Men\'s Basketball UW SYSTEM OFFICIAL TITLE: Assistant Coach POSTING DATE: August 19, 2024 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: This position reports to the Head Coach of Men\'s Basketball and assist the head coach with all facets of running a successful Division I program. Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with administration, faculty, staff and student-athletes. Comply with all NCAA, Horizon League, UW System and UW-Green Bay rules and regulations. Display professional sportsmanlike conduct during athletic events. This position includes the following responsibilities: -Provide technical expertise and utilize sound coaching methods aimed to improve the performance of student athletes include academics. -Assist with scouting of opponents, recruiting and creation of meeting entry line-ups for each competition in accordance with the rules and regulations of the NCAA, Horizon League and UW-Green Bay. -Participate in promotional and public relationship events deemed necessary to the Head Coach, Director of Athletics and/or his/her designee including fund-raising events. -Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with administration, faculty, staff and student athletes and display professional sportsmanlike conduct during athletic events. SPECIAL NOTES: This position requires significant travel and varying schedule that includes nights and weekends. Position is a full-time Limited appointment.
