Insight Global Operations Procedure Writer in Greeley, Colorado

Job Description

Insight Global is hiring an Operation Procedures Writer for an industry leading oil and gas client in Greeley, CO. The Operations Procedures Writer will join the Technical Safety team within the Facilities Engineering organization. This role is broken up into four main categories including office work, field work, mentoring/training and other duties as assigned. Office work will make up about 40% of the candidate's time and will require the candidate to utilize the client's current procedure system to create, update, and publish 'fit for purpose' procedures per Chevron standards. Additionally, the candidate will work alongside peers on various project tasks to help further improve the operating procedures program. Field time will also make up around 40% of the candidate's responsibilities which includes utilizing P&IDs on location throughout the production field to draft and verify SOP's. Additionally, facility walkdowns will be required throughout the various seasons/weather in Colorado. The candidate will need to be okay with using his/her own personal vehicle to travel to various facilities throughout Greeley and mileage will be re-imbursed. Mentoring and training will take up about 10% of the candidate's responsibilities which will include collaboration and sharing lessons learned with the current procedure writer team. The last 10% will be dedicated to other duties as assigned which can include special projects that may arise and require attention outside of day-to-day scope. These tasks will be coordinated by supervisor. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in-office per week from Tues-Thurs and remote Mon/Fri but field work will always take precedence.

Skills and Requirements

* 10+ years of experience working within oil & gas production facilities/surface operations or a chemical processing facility or plant

- Experience within oil & gas drilling and completion operations would be the next best; production plant experience within other PSM industries that deal with hazardous chemical processing could also suffice.

* 6+ years of experience with writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

* SME in operational excellence specific to operating procedures and operator routine duties.

* Strong experience reading P&IDs. * Experience/knowledge of CODs (consequence of deviation) null
