IT ANALYST PLANT MAINTENANCE & QA

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a IT ANALYST PLANT MAINTENANCE & QA for JBS that reports onsite to the corporate office at Greeley, Colorado.

Under direct supervision and under established IT procedures, assists higher level analysts/managers to develop functional and design specifications, to produce deliverables related to an assigned project(s) in Beef/Pork/Chicken Plant Systems space. Gather, compile and combines information with regard to technology, business processes and systems. Assists higher level analysts/managers with the design, installation and maintenance of system projects.

Performs the analysis of company functions, processes, and activities to improve software applications for the most effective use of technology to solve business pain points. Serves as a functional liaison between technical IT and non-technical business users in addressing their information needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and assess plant information control systems, identifying areas for improvement in maintenance and quality assurance processes.

  • Develop comprehensive system requirements and integration standards based on industry best practices and JBS IT policies.

  • Translate user needs and plant data into actionable user stories for software development.

  • Design effective software solutions to bridge the gap between manufacturing equipment and information management systems.

  • Utilize project management skills to develop and manage project plans, timelines, and software development lifecycles.

  • Implement best practices in plant maintenance software, optimizing its effectiveness within JBS.

  • Analyze and leverage the potential of robotics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence for plant operations.

  • Collaborate effectively with plant leadership teams, supervisors, and production workers to understand their specific needs.

  • Work closely with IT teams and business super users to define software gaps and prioritize functionalities.

  • Build strong relationships with technical teams (programmers, DBAs, server admins) to develop and implement software solutions.

  • Train and mentor junior team members within the information technology department, fostering skillset growth.

  • Provide on-call support for daily operational needs, ensuring smooth plant operations (30% travel required).

  • Assist with corporate-mandated IT projects, including system usage reviews, technology transitions, and business process validation.

  • Develop project implementation plans that coordinate efforts between JBS IT and vendors/contractors.

  • This version delves deeper into the skills used for each responsibility. It emphasizes the impact on plant operations and highlights the ability to translate technical knowledge into actionable solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or demonstrate equivalent experience in the field.

  • 1-2 years’ experience in strong technical skills,particularly in writing and executing complex T-SQL database queries.

  • In-depth understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence methodologies to effectively analyze and leverage data for informed decision-making.

  • Experience working with various software development lifecycles (SDLC) and methodologies, ensuring efficient project execution.

  • Demonstrated expertise in a leading Plant Maintenance system like SAP S4 or similar solutions, along with familiarity with popular Quality Assurance software systems to streamline plant operations.

  • Highly proficient in written and presentation skills to clearly convey technical information in various formats (textual, graphical, statistical). Must be a strong team player with a positive attitude who can foster collaboration and build trust with project stakeholders. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (preferably MS Office 365) further enhances communication effectiveness.

  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic, capable of independently managing assigned development tasks. Proven ability to manage business and data workflows effectively, along with experience with IT Change Management processes to ensure smooth implementation.

  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits :

  • Benefits : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

  • Paid Time Off : sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;

  • 401(k) : company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;

  • Base salary range of $75,000-$90,000 ; and

  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
