Hydro Tester

The Hydro Tester will be responsible for conducting hydrostatic testing on pipes, pipelines, tanks, and other equipment used in utilities. The role ensures that equipment is free from leaks, operates under pressure, and meets industry safety and regulatory standards.

What Do You Offer Us:

  • Perform hydrostatic testing of pipelines, tanks, and related utility systems.

  • Inspect and prepare pipes and equipment for testing.

  • Monitor pressure gauges and test equipment during tests to ensure safety and accuracy.

  • Record and document test results in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate with supervisors and engineers on testing schedules and protocols.

  • Identify and troubleshoot leaks or faults in the system and suggest corrective actions.

  • Operate and maintain hydro testing tools and equipment, ensuring they are calibrated and in good working order.

  • Adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and lockout/tagout procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding testing results, challenges, and progress.

  • Assist in the maintenance, repair, and cleaning of utility infrastructure as needed.

  • Fulfill any other duties as assigned by management.

  • Hourly Compensation - $38

What is Required:

  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs).

  • Willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights when necessary.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

  • Require passing a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug tests.

  • Hydrostatic testing or pipefitting preferred, but not required.

  • 1-2 years of experience in hydrostatic testing or related field.

  • Strong understanding of hydrostatic testing procedures and safety regulations.

  • Ability to operate testing equipment and read pressure gauges accurately.

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
