Weld County Government Finance ERP Manager in Greeley, Colorado

Compensation Range

$113,651.20 - $143,956.80

Job Description Summary The Finance Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Manager will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the finance ERP software for Weld County. As part of the Finance team, the Finance ERP Manager will manage data related to financial operations and related business functions including, but not limited to, financial reporting, accounting, payroll, purchasing, accounts payable and receivables, expense management, grants, and projects.

In addition to ensuring that the finance ERP system is functioning properly, the Finance ERP Manager will also analyze financial data to identify trends and develop strategies for improving financial processes. In the Finance department, the Finance ERP Manager role combines the responsibilities of both a Finance manager, an IT specialist, and a manager of the Finance ERP team of employees tasked with managing financial data and ensuring that the department functions effectively.

The Finance ERP Manager will be responsible for providing vision, leadership, planning, project coordination, and management to develop and improve a cost-effective ERP system while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs within the Finance department. Responsible for collaborating with finance partners, various departments (i.e., IT), and outside vendors to develop efficient and effective processes and workflows as well as analyze and direct all functionally related activities within the scope of the ERP. The incumbent in this position will be accountable for ensuring continuity and successful

delivery of functional services to users throughout the organization.

Job Description The following job duties are established to outline the basic duties and responsibilities of the above captioned position. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Finance ERP Maintenance and Operations (40%):

Responsible for the successful implementation, maintenance, operations, and optimization of the Workday system and interfaces, including, but not limited to, financial reporting, accounting, payroll, purchasing, accounts payable and receivables, expense management, grants, and projects. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, application operational efficiency, and security. Conduct and participate in the analysis of workflows and design of functionality and/or improvements to systems, ensuring both process and system requirements are fully identified, evaluated, tested, and implemented. Identify and troubleshoot system issues and work with others (IT, finance partners, vendors, etc.) as needed to bring to resolution. Assist with past and current employee data analytics and reporting capabilities, ensuring systems are optimized to reduce manual reporting. Develop end-user procedures, guidelines, and workflow documentation. Finance ERP Team Management (40%):

Responsible for effectively leading a team focused on increasing ERP functionality to streamline county-wide workflows. Attract, develop, coach, and retain team through construction of development plans and performance measures; create environment that promotes employee engagement. Establish performance metrics and identify opportunities for professional and technical development such as educational workshops. Lead initiatives to streamline ERP functionality and service team standard work processes that result in improved cost, time, resources, or quality impacts to service delivery for service team. Utilize finance analytics to identify county areas of improvement in collaboration with senior leadership to drive effective change. Develop career path processes and recommends new approaches and procedures to improve efficiency and performance. Cross-functional Collaboration (10%)

Work cross-functi nally with Weld County leadership to understand business needs and provide actionable insights for ongoing customer needs. Work with department and county leadership to ensure timely implementation and delivery of new functionality and enhancements. Work with stakeholders to create, update and oversee processes and workflows for ERP systems and implement timely updates as changes occur. Other Duties as Assigned (10%)

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. At least 5 years of experience using Workday financials or database management. At least 3 years of experience in Workday or database architecture, configuration, troubleshooting, and communicating technical and conceptual information effectively with end-users. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Must have advanced knowledge in Excel, including use of filtering, pivot tables, v-lookup functionality, charts, and graphs. Demonstrable experience handling sensitive, confidential organizational, department, employee, and performance information.
