About the Opportunity

Nuclear Power Programmes is one of the newest Business Units and has been formed with the vision to support positive change and help shape the future of Nuclear Power.

Operational throughout the UK and across continental Europe, we are seeking to expand our team on a variety of nuclear projects, which range in technologies and that find themselves at different stages of their development. To do this, we are seeking to continuously employ talented individuals to join our diverse team that are excited about nuclear projects and are committed to Net Zero, and Energy Security.

In both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

We have an opportunity for Project Managers to support Interface Delivery. The purpose of the role is to provide operational sponsorship direction and oversight.

  • Working closely with the Supply Chain, Responsible Designer, Engineering and Quality teams, you’ll be dedicated to delivering a group of nuclear power plant systems, structures, components, and contracts within one of the delivery programmes

  • You’ll be responsible for the timely delivery of engineering studies by the RD or by key contractors and for ensuring they meet the needs of the project.

  • Working together you’ll drive the implementation of site-specific design changes into the design deliverables in their programme, including contract specifications to enable robust pricing.

  • You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams on post financial investment contracts, and drive the implementation of site- specific design changes.

  • This post also has the responsibility to ensure delivery of all (or part of) the engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities in accordance with the overall Project schedule.

Based in London 2-3 days per week with Hybrid working available

  • Degree educated, ideally in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field

  • APM PMQ or equivalent and proficient in the use of project management tools

  • You’ll have a track record of delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security and environmental responsibility within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment.

  • Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors throughout large and complex construction projects, in a regulated environment will be key.

  • You’ll be able to demonstrate experience of managing projects through the project lifecycle from concept to handover

  • Additionally, you’ll have good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills as well as excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
