About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager Procurement indirect material (m/f/x) to join our Magna Corporate Purchasing Europe team who will be responsible for developing and executing the commodity strategy for indirect material commodities.
The position is based in Sailauf or Munich, Germany or in Graz, Austria.
Your Responsibilities
Develop and execute the commodity strategy for indirect material, in alignment with the company's overall strategic objectives
Monitor and analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process improvements
Prepare request documents and associated bids
Evaluate offers and negotiate, as well as present results to the sourcing board and management
Lead the negotiation, contracting processes, and supplier relationships for indirect material commodities
Develop, negotiate, and conclude individual and framework agreements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate commodity synergies and achieve the best possible outcomes for stakeholders involved
Work closely with the European Purchasing teams across Magna Groups and across regions
Enhance existing templates and tools to effectively present projects and savings
Improve data quality in existing systems
Who we are looking for
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
Proven track record of several years in procurement and sourcing within the automotive industry, with specific experience in indirect material commodities
Experience in organizing cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
Your preferred qualifications
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with a focus on driving cost reduction and supplier performance improvement
Strong expertise in commodities strategy definition and implementation
Solid understanding of supply chain management principles
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at various levels
Independent work style, hands-on mentality, and analytical thinking
Fluent in both written and spoken German and English. Additional languages would be beneficial
Proficient in MS Office and SAP
Willingness to travel as required
