Associate Content Analyst, LinkedIn Learning Content Insights and Analytics

LinkedIn is looking for a highly motivated experienced content analyst with exceptional technical, analytical and conceptual thinking skills to join our Learning Content Insights and Analytics team.

Our ideal candidate is not just proficient but passionate about all things data analytics, from mining and cleanup to generation and visualization.

In this role, you will work with partners throughout the organization to understand their analytics needs and manage projects that analyze processes, workflows, systems, and data with the objective of uncovering opportunities for either improvement or automation. You will be required to communicate effectively with global colleagues of different cultural backgrounds across several time zones to be successful in this role.

Success in this role also requires a commitment to developing and transforming data and insights into readable, easily understood, goal-driven reports so that content professionals with varying levels of data understanding can continue to innovate and act upon the findings and recommendations surfaced to bring to life the strategy for growing and supporting our content and community while achieving our metrics targets.

Responsibilities

  • Improve, execute, and effectively communicate significant analyses that identify meaningful trends and opportunities across the business

  • Interpret data, analyze results using analytics, research methodologies, and statistical techniques

  • Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity with an eye for what drives business performance

  • Proactively investigate and communicate areas for improvement in data infrastructure, process efficiency and team productivity

  • Develop and implement data analyses, leverage data collection systems and other strategies that optimize efficiency and quality

  • Act as a liaison between data science and content org, analyzing and interpreting data involving all aspects of content production, procedures, policies, and workflows

  • Prepare, analyze, and summarize various weekly, monthly, quarterly and other periodic results for use by various key stakeholders, creating reports, specifications, instructions, trainings, workshops and flowcharts

  • Conduct full lifecycle of analytics projects, including pulling, manipulating, and exporting data from project requirements documentation to design and execution

  • Willingness to work on a flexible schedule when needed for international meetings

Basic qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience managing multiple projects in various stages of the product development cycle

  • 3+ years experience in data mining and writing scripts using SQL or Python

Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with analytical and conceptual thinking

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Background with problem solving in a product development environment

  • Demonstrated organizational skills, including time-management

  • Experience presenting complex information effectively and persuasively in both written and verbal formats

  • Demonstrated experience communicating and collaborating with multiple stakeholders in different parts of an organization

  • Advanced data analytics (e.g. data pull tool)

  • Can create scripts to build new database objects

  • Highly skilled in developing, publishing, and presenting executive-level slide decks and reports.

  • Ability to iterate on and drive the business cadence for all teams, including biweekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business updates to increase visibility and accountability around metrics.

  • Critical thinker, collaborative, and team player with a strong bias to business impact

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to various types of audiences

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

  • Ability to adapt in a fast-moving and cross-functional environment

  • Technical expertise: Excel, advanced Power BI capabilities, deep knowledge of SQL queries, understanding of back-end DBMS structures

  • Additionally Preferred: Python, R, Experience with data/computing tools as Hadoop and Hive, and BI software including Tableau
