Job Summary
Teach baking and pastry credit courses.

Required Qualification(s)
Associate’s degree in Baking, Pastry, or related.
A minimum of five (5) years’ industry experience
Desired Qualification(s)
Specialty pastry skills – yeast breads including sourdoughs, rye, specialty breads, and specialty diets (gluten free, allergen free, etc.)
Teaching experience
Demonstrated professional learning or certification in evidence-based student-focused pedagogical teaching and assessment practice such as ACUE , workshops and data use
Bilingual in Spanish and English

The number of adjunct faculty hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Adjunct faculty hires and assignments are coordinated by the department chairs.

Teach the core baking and pastry credit courses, Patisserie I, Patisserie II and including baking electives including Yeast Breads, Cake Decorating, and Contemporary Restaurant Desserts.
