Children's Home and Aid Development Specialist in Granite City, Illinois

The Development Specialist will be responsible for managing a variety of fundraising and in-kind donation activities to meet the organization's fundraising goals, including collaborating with regional advisory boards to implement fundraising events. Additionally, the Development Specialist will manage a portfolio of donors and grants, plan and execute donation drives, and recruit program and direct service volunteers.

Candidate qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • At least two years of fundraising experience required.

  • At least two years of professional experience specifically working with volunteer boards and/or committees required.

  • Experience in a leadership role preferred.

  • Experience using Raiser's Edge preferred.

  • Membership in a fundraising professional organization preferred.

  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation required.

Job details:

  • Compensation: Range starts at $24 per hour; offer is commensurate with experience.

  • Benefits: Medical/dental/vision insurance, 3+ weeks paid time off in the first year including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day (PTO increases with tenure); 11 paid holidays, supplemental insurance options, 401(k) with match (more benefits details here).   • Location: Must be within reasonable driving distance to Granite City, IL and available to work from home office at 2133 Johnson Road, Granite City (https://www.google.com/maps/place/2133%20Johnson%20Road+Suite%201101+Granite%20City+IL+62040) 2x/week.

  • Schedule: Full-time, non-exempt; regular business hours with some flexibility required for evening and or weekend fundraising events. Occasional overnight travel required.
