We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our team. This is a hands-on training opportunity under the guidance of experienced electricians, where you will gain the skills needed to build a long-term career in the electrical trade.

Job Summary:

As an Electrical Apprentice, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on Excel Electric projects. Working under the supervision of a licensed journeyman or master electrician, you will receive on-the-job training while actively participating in our apprenticeship program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with electrical installations and repairs according to job specifications and safety codes.
  • Follow instructions from the job foreman, crew leader, or project manager.
  • Prepare and organize materials and tools needed for each job.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly job site.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools while protecting company equipment.
  • Accurately track work hours and project time in the company system.
  • Attend company meetings and actively support safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in emergency service calls as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to learn and develop electrical trade skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
  • Reliable and punctual with a commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and heights.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, crouch, or work at heights for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to work with hand tools.
  • Vision requirements: ability to see details at close range, distinguish colors, and read blueprints.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Hours: Monday -- Friday, 7:30 AM -- 4:00 PM (may vary based on job requirements).

  • Pay: Hourly (based on experience & qualifications).
