We are looking for a Structural Bridge Engineer to join our team. The position will be located out of our Grand Rapids office. Responsibilities: * Design various structural projects, primarily including bridges and may include retaining walls, concrete tanks, buildings, and miscellaneous structures. * Serve in a technical role on bridge design projects. * Perform bridge and other structural analysis and design computations. * Perform site visits for bridge project meetings and bridge inspections. * Ensure that bridges and structural projects are designed in accordance with MDOT specifications. * Prepare progress reports and communications for client. * Represent firm and client at public meetings. * Collaborate with other staff on multi-discipline projects. * Train, coach, and mentor staff. * Assist in business development and proposal efforts. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required. * A PE registration in Michigan is required. * A minimum of 5 years of experience in the structural design field.  * Experience with MDOT and Local Agency Programs projects preferred.  * Knowledge of applicable codes and standards. * Familiar with structural and bridge design software. * Design experience in timber, concrete, steel, and masonry structural building systems preferred.  Equal Opportunity Employer; F&V does not sponsor any required employment visas.
