Job Title: Part-Time Flooring Technician

Job Description

The 3rd shift janitor/floor tech position is a very active role! You will clean the Industrial Facility in multiple areas weekly, including offices, hallways, cleanrooms, staircases, storage rooms, restrooms, and the café. Duties include dusting, sweeping, mopping, operating a floor scrubber, and replacing trash bins. The facility has an elevator for equipment use, but you will use stairs for transportation. In cleanrooms, you must wear a body suit, glasses, and hood, and use a backpack vacuum, sterile mop, and bucket for cleaning. Cleanroom maintenance includes weekly, monthly, and quarterly 'Purges' for cleaning different surfaces. Café cleaning involves cleaning microwaves, fridges, and countertops.

Hard Skills

• 1+ years of cleaning experience

• Operating a floor scrubber, carpet cleaner, floor buffer, and stripping/waxing laminate flooring

• Comfortable with a backpack vacuum

• Open to wearing proper lab equipment

Soft Skills

• Good attitude

• Dependable

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Work Environment

Working inside an industrial facility with two floors, including labs, office space, restrooms, and storage space. Primarily working independently, but may collaborate with partners for certain cleaning tasks. 3rd Shift: 10pm - 6:30am Fri-Sat-Sun (Hours could change). OT: 0-5 hrs. PPE: Closed-toed shoes and khakis or nice pants. Provided: All cleaning equipment and protective equipment for cleanrooms.
