YOUR ROLE AS A MORTGAGE LOAN OPERATIONS SPECIALIST I

As a new Mortgage Loan Operations Specialist I at Mercantile Bank, you will be in a position where you can expect to work collaboratively with the Mortgage Department team to assist in new loan bookings, modifications, loan file maintenance and servicing on the Bank's core system. This Monday to Friday role, from 8 am to 5 pm, offers a structured schedule for you to excel in your tasks. With guidance and support from experienced team members, you'll quickly adapt to the role and contribute to the bank's overall objectives. There is the opportunity after training, to work hybrid - in the office and remotely from home.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A MORTGAGE LOAN SPECIALIST I

· Data input of new loan bookings, modifications, loan file maintenance, and servicing on the Bank's core system.

· Review data input for accuracy and completeness.

· Review and process non-posted transactions.

· Process payoffs and incoming wires.

· Research reports and loan information.

· Answer telephone inquiries, both internal and external, concerning processing and operations issues.

· Research customer issues with efficiency and follow-up.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance with internal policies and procedures.

· Understand and ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations affecting our institution.

· Other job functions may be determined and required from time to time.
