ManpowerGroup Maintenance Technician in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Maintenance Technician – Up to $24.00 / Hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and extend machinery lifespan.

  • Equipment Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Ensure all repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with machinery and equipment. Utilize diagnostic tools and software to pinpoint problems.

  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and maintenance logs.

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to other maintenance personnel and production staff as needed.

  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.

  • Parts Management: Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies. Place orders as necessary to ensure availability.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.

  • Skills:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.

  • Basic computer skills for maintaining records and using maintenance software.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods. Must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to loud noise and extreme temperatures.
