Cloud Theory is seeking a Lead product designer to join an innovative team. We're looking for someone excited to work remotely and be a part of a team designing and delivering transformative applications across many industries.
As a Lead Product Designer at Cloud Theory, you’ll be at the forefront of our product team, tackling complex challenges and driving strategic impact. You’ll own and influence the design direction for critical projects, collaborating closely with executives, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to bring a cohesive vision to life. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between strategic goals and user needs, ensuring that our customers' interaction is purposeful, engaging, and delightful.
In this role, you’ll lead from a customer-centric design approach and work closely with product management, marketing, and engineering partners. Along with your advanced design skills, your core competencies include collaboration, the ability to influence others, application of data and insights to inform design decisions, and a strong drive to achieve results.
Responsibilities:
Lead with Vision : Define, drive, and champion a design vision that aligns with goals. You’ll shape the future of our products, influencing the experience at every step, from ideation through execution.
Solve Complex Problems : Dive into challenging design problems, often balancing user needs with business objectives. Your role will involve designing for scale, accessibility, and adaptability, keeping our products resilient and user-friendly.
Own the Design Process : From discovery and research to prototyping and final delivery, you’ll manage and lead the end-to-end design process for high-impact projects, advocating for design excellence every step of the way.
Mentor and Collaborate : Serve as a mentor as the team grows, offering guidance and feedback to elevate the team’s skillset. Work alongside product managers, engineers, and executive stakeholders, acting as a strategic partner and trusted advisor.
Innovate and Experiment : Push boundaries by exploring new design trends, emerging technologies, and forward-thinking solutions. You’ll have the freedom to experiment and introduce ideas that enhance our product ecosystem.
For this position, we're looking for candidates with:
Degree in design or equivalent degree and/or work experience
8+ years of experience working with product teams as a product designer; B2B and SaaS preferred
5+ years of experience using customer discovery and wireframe tools
5+ years of experience designing products using modern frameworks with components
