Position Summary: 

The Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for the management and execution of the company's social media, digital media, earned media, media relations and other public relations tasks. The Communications and Marketing Specialist will also serve as a reporter/editor for the company's internal newsletter and will be responsible for the content, and updates to the Company Intranet. This position will provide marketing, business development and sale support as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Creates content for social and digital media channels and tracks analytics. 
  • Reports and edits content of internal newsletter, the Wolverine News Network.
  • Writes consistently with the company's tone and voice, as appropriate, for various media formats.  
  • Manages the content of the company's internal Intranet. 
  • Assists with media advisories, press releases, and media relations.
  • Coordinates with others, groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings and other project related events. 
  • Coordinates and manages project and staff photography. 
  • Assists sales team with collateral for sales presentations, conferences, and seminars.
  • Assists with project proposals, leave behinds and brochures. 
  • Assists with graphic design, layout, and production of specialty items (site signage, proposal graphics, presentations etc.)
  • Manages award submissions.
  • Maintains and organizes marketing assets and files. 
  • Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education and experience in communications, marketing, graphic design, or related discipline required.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in Public Relations, Marketing and/or Graphic Design.
  • Copywriting and editing experience.
  • Layout and /or graphic design skills that create enticing and effective communication preferred. 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat). 
  • Experience with video production software, preferably Premier Pro is a plus. 

Other Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Effective and demonstrated strong written and visual communication skills. Must be able to communicate with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Experience in creative collaboration, copywriting, editing and proofreading. 
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite required.  Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM databases preferred.
  • Proficient in website management, digital media, graphic design, and photography/photo editing and video production software. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and internet research tools.
