BINDERY OPERATOR

Operate machinery to cut, fold, glue, trim, bind and finish the final printed product. 

Read work orders and set the machine in accordance with job specifications.

Complete trial run and evaluate the quality and appearance of the product

Adjust machinery as needed prior to starting the project

Ensure that company's safety regulations and procedures are followed

Ensure that binding machines are in proper working order

Send completed orders to shipping department

Performs other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Excellent mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot problems with machinery

Ability to work with stamping, trimming, pressing and bind machines

Excellent communication, general math skills and ability to use ruler accurately

Ability to read work orders and follow specific instructions

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Previous related experience preferred

On-the-job training provided

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Standing during your 8 hour shift

Bending, squatting and possible crawling at times

Must be able to lift up to 40-50 lbs

$19 -to- $32 per hour
