Lockheed Martin Traffic Administrator in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description:

Become part of the Lockheed Martin MFC team within the Traffic function for all MFC LOB's. A big part of your responsibilities will be facilitating carrier routes for shipping and receiving activities related to military and commercial requirements, in support of a production and sustainment activities.

What You Will Be Doing As the Traffic Admininistrator your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

-Interfacing with outside organizations such as Freight Carriers and Freight Forwarders

-Coordinating outbound shipping documentation process for commercial and government shipments utilizing in-house company and government shipping systems

-Coordinating outbound shipping schedules and pickups with all modes of transportation including: small package (ground and air), less-than-truckload, full-truckload, flatbed/specialized, and rail to ensure shipments are shipped in the most cost-advantageous method in accordance with established procedures, government regulations, and company transportation agreements to meet all customer schedule and contract requirements

-You will need a detail oriented approach when you are auditing freight bills and preparing and negotiating claims. -Learning and communicating new processes associated with the DD250, Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) process, Shipping Information Request (SIR), Transportation Management System (TMS), and others as related to the Traffic organization.

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

-Experience in commercial and/or military transportation.

-Ability to obtain Secret security clearance.

-Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

-Experience with the following modes of transportation for domestic shipping: small package (ground and air), less-than-truckload, full-truckload, and/or flatbed/specialized.

-Experience creating carrier shipping documentation including Bills of Lading and Packing Lists, and other required documents.

Desired Skills:

-Bachelor's degree

-Prior knowledge and experience with DOT and

IATA shipping regulations for dangerous goods.

-Knowledge of TMS transportation management system.

-Ability to monitor and analyze optimal transportation methods to maximize freight optimization.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
