Job Summary
Responsible to complete light maintenance, repair and cleaning tasks in a safe, professional manner. Must take extra precautions when working in patient/resident care areas and specifically keep tools out of reach of children. Possess advanced mechanical knowledge, and competence in the use of hand tools, meters, measuring devices and gauges. Ability to work from blueprints, schematics and technical manuals as required. Perform and oversee work quality inspections on a routine basis to ensure all work orders are being completed following acceptable engineering or trade practices. Must possess a working knowledge of local, state and federal codes, specifications, and ordinances.
Responsible for, but not limited to. Operating low pressure boilers, diagnose boiler failures, and coordinate equipment repairs within a timely manner. The maintenance, repair, calibration, fabrication and installation of electrical, electronic, pneumatic and manual controls on all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. Performs necessary installation, repair, and maintenance services to assure continuous operation of the facility heating and cooling systems. Operates building automation system computers and equipment to control pumps, fans, motors, dampers and related equipment to supply proper indoor air temperature and volume. Other duties assigned may include, but not limited to, basic plumbing, general maintenance, and lite grounds tasks. Rotating on-call duty is required, as is EPA 608 Certification.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Trade school or vocational school preferred.
Depending on location, a valid driver's license and a good driving record may be required.
