McLaren Health Care Business Intelligence Data Analyst II - McLaren Careers in Grand Blanc, Michigan

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the governance, extracting, normalization, reporting and analytics of healthcare data. This work will include data manipulation, validation and cleansing. Aggregates disparate data from internal and external systems in various formats and develops meaningful reports to assist leadership in the monitoring and achievement of performance objectives. Designs and develops data visualization solutions to communicate results to key decision makers. Diving into large, and complex health care data to produce innovative analysis of historical patterns and insights around the integrity of the source data and data processes

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the importing, exporting and mining of large healthcare data

  • Aggregates disparate clinical and financial data in various formats.

  • Construct data queries, or refresh data queries for staff to retrieve pertinent clinical or administrative data

  • Resolve discrepancies with data and instill stakeholder confidence in reporting accuracy

  • Develops reporting for data governance including trends and statistical analysis of data quality and integrity

  • Recommends workflow processes and procedures to monitor timely and accurate receipt and transfer of data

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to gather business needs,establish scope of projects, manage project timelines, and meet deadlines

  • Develops data preparation and validation routines to support data mining.

  • Collaborates to define and create appropriate key performance indicators

  • Creates reports and dashboards for stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

  • Continually enhances knowledge of healthcare data and information technology

  • Coordinates and oversees special projects as identified and assigned

  • Other duties as assigned or when necessary to maintain efficient operations of the department and the McLaren Health Care as a whole.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, engineering, health informatics technology or related field

  • Three years’ experience in data analytics with data mining or masters plus one year experience

OR

  • Master’s in data science or analytics

One (1) year of healthcare experience with data mining, data analysis and reporting.
