Job Title: Fabrication Technician

Job Description

We are currently looking to hire a fabrication technician for our large campus in Goshen. The ideal candidate will assist the maintenance team by welding and fabricating necessary parts to complete daily work, and will also be involved in fabricating cells for new machines and safety rails. This role requires a thorough understanding of MIG and Stick welding techniques and extensive blueprint reading to ensure projects are completed accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist the maintenance team by welding and fabricating necessary parts.

• Fabricate cells for new machines and safety rails.

• Maintain fixtures and carriers using welding techniques.

• Perform MIG and Stick welding.

• Read and interpret blueprints to complete projects correctly.

• Maintain, install, and troubleshoot frame jig systems.

• Maintain, install, and troubleshoot roller tables.

• Operate fork trucks and aerial lifts regularly.

Essential Skills

• Experience with MIG and Stick welding.

• Metal fabrication experience.

• Mechanical troubleshooting skills.

• Preventive maintenance experience.

• Ability to implement fabrication ideas within the maintenance department.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with rigging and/or moving machinery is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a powder coating facility that focuses on powder coating finished products from other plants throughout the area. The facility includes welders, blast booths, large lay down yards, and ovens, creating a hotter and fast-paced environment. The hours are typically from 6am to 3:30pm, mostly Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays depending on business needs. Expect to work 45-50 hours a week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $58240.00/yr.
