Need 4 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag. Equipment Operators to work in Goodridge, MN. From 04/01/2024 to 12/01/2024 Work 40 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 8 hrs./day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The employer will pay time and a half after 48 hours a week as required by Minnesota State Law. Effective Jan 1, 2024 per MN State Statute, employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) a year Must Apply By: 08/02/2024 JOB DESCRIPTION: We need seasonal employees to assist with our corn, wheat and soybean crop production season. Employees will need to assist with all aspects of raising these crops. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, operate other farm equipment, engage in planting, weeding, spraying and/or harvesting activities, load and unload crops or materials, manually or using conveyors, forklifts, or transfer augers, load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks, manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery, observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions, weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information, attach equipment extensions or accessories, load crops and unload crops, operate equipment to harvest crops, drive farm trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools, inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer s discretion. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Job requires extensive sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements. Must have a regular Class D driver's license. Requires 2 months farm experience. No HS Diploma / GED required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
