Colorado School Of Mines Workday HCM Configurator in Golden, Colorado

Engineering a world of possibilities Mines Business Systems and Financial Services Team is seeking a new Workday HCM Configurator to provide critical technical expertise to campus.

As our Workday HCM Configurator, you'll be the mastermind behind fine-tuning and energizing our Workday ERP system to align with the ever-evolving needs of our dynamic institution. This role will take you through the important journey of collaborating with stakeholders, translating their visions into seamless system configurations, and leading them through the maze of testing and training. Your role on campus is the bridge connecting Human Resources, recruiting, benefits, and employment services, ensuring that our strategic initiatives hit the ground running. Primary Responsibilities Configuration and Problem Diagnostics

Customize and configure Workday HR and Benefits modules to align with business processes and requirements.

Work with Security Administrator to customize and configure security settings within the Workday platform.

Design and implement custom reports and dashboards using Workday tools and technologies.

Partner with the Security Administrator and Colorado School of Mines policies for assigning security.

Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and improvements in business process designs.

Provide design recommendations to business partners and senior leaders.

Analyze the current environment for continuous improvement opportunities

Create comprehensive documentation of system changes in our document library.

Collaboration

Establish and maintain effective communication channels with the Human Resources department and the Business Systems and Functional Support teams as well as campus business units.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for system enhancements and optimizations.

Translate business needs into technical specifications and system configurations.

Support the implementation of new Workday features, modules, and enhancements.

Develop and execute test plans to ensure system functionality, data accuracy, and compliance with business requirements.

Provide user support and troubleshooting assistance for Workday-related issues.

Develop and deliver training sessions and documentation to educate end-users on system functionality and best practices.

Facilitate and document user acceptance testing with stakeholders

Documentation and Knowledge Base:

Document each customer interaction, including the issue, resolution, and any additional information.

Maintain detailed records of user interactions, technical issues, and solutions provided. Create and update documentation, knowledge base articles, SOPS, workflows and FAQs to facilitate self-help resources for users.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of a knowledge base to facilitate quicker issue resolution.

Understanding and documentation of current business processes

SOP/ Workflow documentation and maintenance

Ensure data integrity and consistency within the Workday system.

Define and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and security controls.

Continuous Learning:

Stay informed about product updates, industry trends, and emerging technologies to enhance technical knowledge and support capabilities.

Stay updated on Workday releases, features, and best practices.

Identify opportunities for system optimization, process improvement, and automation.
