THE OPPORTUNITY

Colorado School of Mines welcomes applications for a Graduate Recruiter who is a highly visible professional within the Admissions Office and is responsible for increasing awareness, quality and quantity of applications, and enrollment of graduate students at Colorado School of Mines. Colorado School of Mines graduate programs include residential and online programs at the certificate, Master's Non-Thesis, Master's Thesis, and PhD levels that focus on meeting society's grand challenges to build a more sustainable future. The Graduate Recruiter works under the direction of the Assistant Director of Admissions - Graduate Recruitment.

The Office of Admissions provides enrollment management for both undergraduate and graduate students at Colorado School of Mines. The Office of Admissions is functionally divided into three areas: Recruiting, Marketing and Systems. The work unit in which this position functions is primarily Graduate Recruiting. This operating unit is responsible for providing services needed by prospective graduate students, applicants to graduate school and incoming graduate students at Mines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Graduate Recruiter must function with a high degree of independence in decision-making and function to allow for timely, and often individualized, attention and service to prospective graduate students at all stages of the enrollment cycle.

Graduate Student Recruitment (70%)

Coordinate and implement the recruiting campaign, including but not limited to: conducting recruiting events, building connections with similar programs at other universities, hosting visit events at Mines, using digital communications, all to achieve the set-out goals for applicants and enr

Lead on-/off-campus recruitment activities including graduate fairs, university visits, conferences, and corporate visits.

Develop and enhance relationships/connections to "feeder" institutions/departments, faculty, and companies globally.

Work with Marketing and Communications, Systems, and other campus constituencies, to ensure all prospective applicants, current applicants, and enrolling students are communicated with promptly and provided high-quality and clear services.

Serve as the first point of contact to prospective graduate students at Mines, providing admission information and program-specific information.

Meet with prospective students both in person and via Zoom/Teams.

Provide in-person tours for prospective students.

Regularly host online webinars for prospective students.

Read and make decisions on certificate and Master'sNon-Thesis applications.

Significant overnight travel required.

Graduate Recruitment Plan Development (20%)

Develop a graduate student recruitment campaign aimed at current undergraduate and Master's students, early career professionals looking to return for a certificate or graduate degree, as well as industry professionals to achieve established recruitment goals.

Create and utilize data reports to identify applicant/application trends, develop and implement recruiting strategies, and forecast enrollment.

Collaborate with faculty and department leadership to discuss recruitment plan and strategize on additional recruitment ideas.

Collaborate with Graduate Recruitment Team and Associate Director on budgetary needs to achieve recruitment plan.

Assessment (5%)

Continually assess the effectiveness of the recruiting campaign and revise/redesign as needed to meet recruiting goals.

Create reports to display efforts and results of recruiting efforts.

Other Duties as Assigned (5%)

Other duties as assigned to meet the objectives goals of the program and/or Mines.
