About the Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Technical Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the more complicated general ledger accounting tasks, including capitalizing internally developed software, managing the capitalized commissions schedule and accounting for leases under ASC 842. Additionally, your responsibilities will include monthly financial closings, process documentation, and writing technical accounting memos for unique and complex transactions.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and amortize Internally Developed Software including maintaining collaboration with Product and Engineering leaders to ensure accuracy

• Record capitalized contract acquisition costs and maintain amortization schedules monthly

• Record Stock based compensation monthly and contribute to annual 409A valuation process

• Review lease agreements to identify embedded leases and apply appropriate accounting guidance

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting close, financial statement preparation, analysis and variance reporting.

• Assist with monthly external financial reporting package preparation

• Assist with year-end financial audit and support statutory reporting requirements domestically and internationally

• Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, including company policies and relevant legal regulations.

• Assist with various ad-hoc requests

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and projects

• Implement financial controls within your functional area

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Business required

• 5+ years of accounting experience with a minimum of 3 years experience in public accounting

• US GAAP Reporting experience required

• Netsuite or other ERP tool experience preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to perform in a high-pressure environment

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills to develop a collaborative working relationship with cross-functional teams
