Coordinator, Substance Use Disorder

Location: Glens Falls, NY - 12801

Employment Type: Direct-Hire, Permanent

Setting: Hospital

Pay: $30-$45 per hour

Shift: 8am-4:30pm

Qualifications:

  • Social Work Degree (MSW or BSW).

  • Licensed Master of Social Worker (LMSW) preferred.

  • 2 years experience in mental health field.

  • Working knowledge of mental health, substance use, and NY community system.

  • Knowledge of State Opioid Response Initiative.

  • Driver's License.

Key Duties:

  • Review and respond to SUD consultation requests from hospital departments, completing bedside Screening Brief Intervention Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) consultations.

  • Utilize community resources to effectively connect individuals, including children and families, to age-appropriate services.

  • Monitor and follow the progress of individuals connecting to services, reporting on outcomes and any changes in their situation.

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of substance abuse issues, psychiatric disorders, and intervention strategies, maintaining a high level of clinical accountability.

  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to teamwork while embracing change and seeking continuous improvement in services.
