The HR Project Management team (HR PMO) for Walt Disney Imagineering is seeking a Senior Manager, Human Resources Project Manager to lead a variety of large-scale growth initiatives with a cross-functional focus. The Senior Manager HR Project Manager contributes to defining and implementing human resources strategies which align and integrate with WDI’s strategies and priorities. This role serves as a strategic partner to leadership in developing project plans and ensuring an integrated and collaborative process. This role will report to the Director HR Project Management.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage multiple large-scale projects, ensuring clear communication and superior execution of plans.

  • Provide project management through identifying, tracking, monitoring, and communicating issues, variances and contingencies while ensuring HR projects are delivered on time.

  • Establish and facilitate project oversite, developing project plans to assess and track progress. Involve all relevant stakeholders and ensure the critical success factors of the project are set and met.

  • Collaborate with HR leaders and cross-functional team members to align business processes. Maintain effective communication and collaboration among the project team and partners.

  • Effectively write, prepare, and build project documents, presentations, business updates, dashboards, and end-user communications. Tell the story through data driven storytelling.

  • Act as a strategic partner by developing authentic relationships and influence across stakeholder groups.

  • Facilitate quality assurance, including regulatory, statutory, and local compliance

  • Ensure project risks and issues are effectively identified and managed; perform proactive contingency planning. Take an active role in discussions about potential solutions and next steps

  • Communicate ongoing initiative-related updates and timely, relevant information to key stakeholders.

  • Analyze successful completion of goals and projects to establish optimal approaches and project review processes.

  • Lead and drive all aspects of project delivery to successful closure.

  • Plan and manage transition of the finished project; ensure appropriate change management.

  • Ensure that the project outcomes meet the expectation and requirements of the Director HR PMO and other involved Executives, and that they follow relevant regulations and standards.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 8 years in project management, human resources, or related field with projects roles that include the full cycle of project management.

  • Effective collaborator who quickly builds trust and successful working relationships with business leaders and partners across many groups and geographies.

  • Ability to take multiple and complex concepts and distill into simple, executable processes that are relevant, pragmatic and drive results. to consolidate large amounts of information into user-friendly documents that help guide and instruct.

  • Deep understanding of labor strategies, talent acquisition, compensation, relocation, immigration, and core HR competencies.

  • Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to consolidate large amounts of information into user-friendly documents that help guide.

  • Ability to positively influence stakeholders at all hierarchical levels.

  • Technical skill to develop presentations, report design and produce documentation.

  • Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Excel, MS Teams, Smartsheet.

  • Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Flexible and able to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.

  • Applied data management, analytics, and forecasting experience.

  • International market experience with culture competency.

  • Ability to travel and work flex schedule to accommodate multiple time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Disney businesses, policies, and procedures

  • Experience with Disney SAP, Workday (HR/Finance Processes)

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $165,700 to $202,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
