The Walt Disney Company Executive Assistant, Studio Content Security in Glendale, California

About the Role & Team

The Content Security team is a part of the Studio Technology organization inside The Walt Disney Studios.

We are looking for a proactive and very organized Executive Assistant to support the Vice President, Content Security. The successful candidate is someone who can step into and navigate a complex and high-paced environment of hardworking, friendly, and passionate people. You are bright, detail-oriented, a problem solver, cheerful, and confident. You are invigorated by problem solving and have a "can do" attitude. You are also looking to deepen your knowledge within the technology and entertainment industry and have a passion for the movie business.

What You Will Do

  • Manage day to day schedule of the VP, Content Security including responding to meeting requests, negotiating and gatekeeping time, while proactively scheduling key stakeholder engagements and maintaining confidentiality

  • Perform the role of a proactive partner and collaborator to the VP, staying ‘one step ahead’

  • Create and manage presentations, reports, agendas, and other documentation as needed

  • Assist, track, and manage special projects

  • Find innovative solutions to improve team coordination, hold team members accountable, and drive efficiency throughout the organization

  • Support preparation of monthly and quarterly reports entailing heavy word processing and strong organizational skills

  • Act as a team culture liaison between Content Security and Studio Technology

  • Ability to immerse into the team to be a true partner for Content Security as a key resource, partner in initiatives, and team morale

  • Communication and Correspondence: Interface seamlessly with various Disney departments, executives, business units, and external organizations

  • Perform research and provide reports on highly visible programs and projects

  • Schedule, organize, and prepare for meetings, including gathering necessary documentation

  • Coordinate and schedule travel and manage expense reports

  • Assist in scheduling and managing logistics for team events and activities

  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires and ensure a smooth experience

  • Post, update, and maintain documents to SharePoint and other collaboration sites

  • Build and maintain good relationships with partners and trusted vendors

  • Support the team with ad-hoc requests including order office equipment, snacks, and any administrative supplies

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years administrative experience supporting senior level executives in a corporate environment

  • Excellent communication and time management skills with the ability to shift from project to project without missing a step

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to assure successful interaction with all levels of employees and external contacts

  • Proficient at managing and prioritizing information and meetings for executives

  • Handle high profile and sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion

  • Ability to work and build relationships with Disney employees at all levels

  • Detail oriented, highly organized, and desire for further understanding of partners and processes

  • Tech-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Keynote, and PowerPoint

  • Able to conduct online research and collate, synthesize and summarize notes, action items, and follow-up tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Media and Entertainment Industry

Education

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $52,400 to $70,200 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
