Responsibilities

About this Opportunity:

The Activity Leader plans coordinates and implements a therapeutic activity program on a daily basis to meet the needs and interest of the residents on the unit. S/he is responsible for interviewing the residents and/or families to develop an appropriate Activities care plan based on the resident's interest and capabilities.

Qualifications

Minimum Required:

  • 1 year experience with adult mental health clients.

  • A High School Diploma or its equivalent.

  • BLS

  • Good overall interpersonal skills ability to work productively and effectively ability to function well as a member of an interdisciplinary team ability to represent the program well in interaction both inside and outside the host hospital.

Preferred/Desired:

  • 1 year experience in inpatient mental health program.

  • Qualified by completing at least 36hours of training in a course of activity approved by the California Department of Health Services.

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field preferred.

Pay Range

$30.30 - $30.30/hour
