THE POSITION

Honeywell's Defense & Space is a worldwide leader in the development of flight controls, displays, guidance and navigation systems, and inertial instruments. The Glendale, AZ facility has a 40 years heritage of designing, developing and manufacturing products for manned and unmanned space applications.

This position is responsible as the Program Manager's and Product Engineer's focal point for all ISC procurement, material planning and operations activity.

The position is responsible for functional support for proposals and program execution, risk mitigation, managing program budgets for material and labor, driving problem resolution, OTTR, and delivering on financial commitments to the organization. The position supports all program specific procurement, material and operations objectives, including cost goals. It is responsible for ensuring material deliveries support the program schedule and assisting in resolving supplier related issues. This position is also responsible for build, inspection, testing and shipment of product, ensuring conformance with technical, quality, and contractual requirements, company policies, budget limitations and meeting AOP objectives.

The position is responsible for supporting customer negotiations, contract review, design reviews, small business plans, contract SDRLs, and customer meetings.

This position provides procurement and operations leadership to a cross functional team:

  • Planners

  • Buyers

  • Quality Engineers

  • Procurement Quality Engineers

  • Parts, Material, & Process Engineers

  • ISC Engineering

  • Production Coordinators

  • Operations Supervisor

  • Test Technicians

Directs ISC program procurement and operations activities from proposal, to planning, through execution, and close-out.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Procurement and Operations cost accounts as the Control Account Manager (CAM)

  • Managing budgets for all procurement work packages

  • Tracking earned value for ISC activities (cost and schedule)

  • Taking corrective action on accounts behind schedule or over-budget

  • Supporting and guiding all ISC activities as required for new business proposals

  • Inputting and maintaining needed ISC resources in the ETC Manager tool

  • Supporting location ISC SIOP and MOR activities as requested

  • Drive and execute new initiatives

  • Influence functional stakeholders

  • Build robust MOS towards execution

  • Process optimization and improvement

  • Support Integrated Supply Chain sites

  • Work with the factory team

  • Support to manage risk

  • Ability to travel (up to 10%) to US domestic locations.

U.S. CITIZEN REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Due to government regulations, must be a US citizen

  • Minimum 5 years applicable experience in procurement, planning, or operations environment

  • Experience in procurement and operations

  • Project Management experience

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s in Business, Engineering or similar discipline

  • Greenbelt certification

  • Control account management experience

  • Experience with writing BOEs in support of customer proposals

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in group processes

  • PMI, APICS, ISM certifications a plus

  • Demonstrated excellent communications and presentation skills

  • Leadership of cross functional and cross site teams

  • Knowledge of the FAR
