Job Title: Project Lead

Job Description

As a Project Lead, you will manage and lead architectural staff, overseeing teams of 2-3 individuals. Your responsibilities will include reviewing design deliverables and as-builts, managing budgets, schedules, and team performance. You will also maintain client relationships while developing project timelines and deliverables. Project types include retail centers/shops, commercial, educational/institutional, restaurants, residential, and medical spaces.

Qualifications

  • Five years of experience on commercial projects for new construction and remodel of existing buildings

  • Licensure is preferred, but must have the ability to obtain your license

  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree required

  • Responsible for all project aspects from preparing fit plans, construction documents for commercial projects, and teaming with other staff on projects

  • Construction administration (including permit process, shop drawings, and field visits)

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

Work Environment

Flexibility is a key aspect of the work environment, with a newly renovated office located in Glen Burnie. The office is a mix of Architecture & MEP disciplines, handling a variety of projects including light commercial, retail, adaptive reuse, retail centers, office buildings, educational and institutional buildings, and medical/healthcare facilities. The teams typically consist of a Project Architect/Manager and two production level architects. Benefits include 7 Federal holidays, 1 bonus holiday, and 3 weeks of PTO. Work weeks average 80 hours over a two-week period, with some weeks requiring additional hours.
