Job Title: Temporary Accountant

Pay rate: $33.50-$38 and hour with weekly pay on Friday's.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Job Description:

We are seeking a Temporary Accountant to join our team and work closely with the Senior Accountant in various accounting functions. The Accountant will be responsible for researching and analyzing accounting data, preparing financial reports, and assisting with payroll processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain general ledger accounts by preparing account reconciliations

  • Enter amortizations of prepaid accounts and balance job costs

  • Prepare monthly entries for fixed asset depreciation, accruals, amortization, and cost allocations

  • Assist with payroll processes and complete payroll journal entries and reconciliation

  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of intercompany transactions for foreign subsidiaries

  • Participate in the continuous development and strengthening of internal controls

  • Research and interpret accounting policy and regulations to answer accounting procedure questions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • At least 2 years of experience in an accounting role, with payroll experience being a plus

  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret data accurately

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Dedicated team player with a willingness to learn and grow within the organization
