Description We are offering an opportunity for a proficient Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Glen Allen, Virginia. As a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing insurance billing, liaising with various departments and customers, and ensuring accurate billings. You will also be tasked with upholding HIPAA Compliance and representing the practice in a detail-oriented manner.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively processing insurance billing and follow-up activities.

• Liaising with various departments and customers to verify information.

• Reviewing account activities and providing detailed, relevant data to secure payments.

• Posting payments to patient accounts from Electronic Remittance Advices and other receipts.

• Documenting claim status and resolving payor denials as part of accounts receivable follow-ups.

• Responding to patient inquiries related to account balances and payment options.

• Protecting Patient Health Information as part of HIPAA Compliance.

• Representing the practice in a detail-oriented manner at all times.

• Managing other projects and duties as assigned.

• Using Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CRM, Epic Software, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for various accounting functions. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience in utilizing CRM

• Proficient in Epic Software

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions

• Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Billing Functions

• Capable of managing Cash Activity

• Experience in Cash Handling
