Job Summary

Oversees daily administration of the employee benefits insurance plans, the wellness program, and the annual insurance renewal processes. Responsible for the Company’s leave policies and consistent application/interpretation of these policies. Manages the Company’s Employee Service Center, including processing of employee transactions and the HR Info Line. Manages the functional lead process for the development, implementation, maintenance and coordination of the HR and Benefits modules in the HRIS system.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops policy recommendations for welfare benefits, wellness program, leave benefits, and employee records transaction processing.

• Supervises and supports policy administration and implementation of employee benefits insurance plans, wellness program and time off plans. Insurance plans include health, dental, life, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, and travel accident.

• Analyzes and evaluates services provided through insurance companies. Reviews annual renewals and recommendations prior to presentation to management. Reviews annual insurance contracts.

• Maintains quality customer service environment and provides direction to HR Service Center regarding customer service inquiries. Provides accurate, timely answers to escalated service issues.

• Oversees accounting and reconciliation activities for insurance plans including calculation of payroll deductions and arrears, monthly financial statements, general ledger reconciliations, and timely payment of premiums.

• Provides and supervises benefits and HR Service Center functional lead activities as they relate to the HRIS system. Ensures that all system requirements are properly documented, system changes are thoroughly tested, all reporting requirements are met, and the HRIS system correctly interfaces with both internal and external systems. Analyzes processing needs of department and system capabilities. Makes recommendations for system changes as required.

• Provides direction to Service Center regarding customer service inquiries and handles escalated service issues.

• Provides communication to Employee Service Center regarding HR program & regulatory changes.

• Respond to questions from management and professionals (e-mail, voice mail, personal visits) pertaining to all areas of the Employee Service Center.

• Identifies and assesses improvement opportunities which will add value. Champions continuous improvement efforts. Assesses and supports the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements. Proactively supports, encourages and facilitates staff to engage in continuous improvement activities.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s in business-related field.
