We Are Seeking

This is a Part-Time, Non-Benefited position with hours varying between 10-30 hours per week.

Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Recreation Leader.

The Recreation Leader reports to the Recreation Coordinator. The primary function of this position is to provide exemplary customer service to include fielding questions by phone and in person, respond to emergency situations and resolve customer conflicts. This position is also required to open, secure and monitor assigned facilities as well as enforce policies and procedures. Positions may be available at the following locations: Freestone Recreation Center, Gilbert Community Center, McQueen Park Activity Center, Cactus Yards, Southeast Regional Library, Riparian Preserve, and Gilbert Regional Park. Applicants will be assigned to a location-based on program needs.

In addition to possessing the ability to live out our core and functional values daily, candidates must possess the following requirements:

  • Be able to work minimal to no supervision, respond to emergency situations and be astute in conflict resolution skills

  • Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills

  • Flexible availability to work days and evenings Monday – Sunday (Approximately 10 – 15 hours weekly)

  • Possess and maintain certification for CPR and Standard First Aid within 30 days of hire

  • Age requirement: Must be 16+ years

This position is FLSA Non-Exempt - eligible for overtime compensation.

    Our operation has staffing needs Monday - Friday 5:15am-12:00am. Saturday & Sunday 7:00am-12:00am. Hours at each center vary but do have an emphasis on weekends. Please indicate the times you are available to work each day and if there are specific shift(s) you desire, such as weekends only.
