Citigroup Triparty Ops Sr Analyst - AVP- Hybrid in Getzville, New York

The Collateral Funding and Projections team are responsible for the accurate and optimal funding at the Tri Party agents in support of SFT, Repo, Cleared and OTC transactions. The team is part of the newly formed Collateral Optimisation function of Markets Operations that has investments in flight to transform the processes that are performed today with market leading technology and innovation. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on process improvement and risk management and excellent communication skills to contribute to the planned changes. The role will need to balance supporting the team in their current BAU processes, providing support to the VP team manager and oversight of the team’s risk management responsibilities. The successful candidate will be able to provide support and guidance to a junior team locally and work with a wider team across the globe.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve complex process problems which require an in-depth evaluation of basic securities processing procedures and industry standards

  • Provide guidance and assistance to junior staff

  • Oversee risk and control functions of the team including break & suspense identification, reporting, escalation and resolution

  • Perform manager’s control assessment functions for the team’s key controls, and help identify/remediate deficiencies in the current processes

  • Assist with approvals of payments, journal entries, and other managerial oversight tasks

  • Serve as analytical or procedural expert for securities processing deliverables/initiatives

  • Assist with the development of new techniques and streamlining securities processing activities

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

  • Assisting the team in identifying the manual touch points (MTPs) in the processes today to be able to identify areas for improvement

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
